《ジョブチューン》南雲吉則「朝起きて水を飲むというのは間違い！？血液がさらさらになるは嘘でむくみの原因となる」

南雲吉則医師によると、
「朝起きてまず水を飲むのが良いというのは間違いである」という。
なぜなら、
寝起きは顔がむくんでいる人が多いが、
むくんでいるということは身体に余分な水分が残っているということ。
そこで水を摂取してしまうと、
摂れば摂るほど体のむくみを助長してしまう。
ここで、
「水を1日2リットル飲んだ方が良いと一般的に言われるのは何故か？」
という質問がされた。
南雲によると、
「水を飲んだら血液が薄まってサラサラになる」
というのは都市伝説であると一蹴。
水を飲んだら血液が薄まって血液の量が増えたり、
逆に喉が乾いて血液が濃くなったりというのが簡単に体内で行えているならば、
血圧が下がったら人間は簡単に死んでしまう。
水を飲まなくてもしばらく生きていけるのは、
体内に余分な水が蓄えられていてそれが利用されているからだと説明された。
体内に余分な水分や脂肪があるというのであれば、
飲んだり食べたりする前に、
蓄えている余分な水分や脂肪を使ったほうが良いと指摘。

情報不足で申し訳ないのですが、
水を大量に飲んだ方が健康に良いという情報は初めて聞きました。
確かになんとなく健康には良さそうなので、
信じてしまう人が多くてもしょうがないところでしょう。
ところでそもそもむくみはなぜいけないのでしょうか？
むくみとは南雲医師の仰るとおり、
余分な水分が体内に蓄えられてしまっている状態を指します。
通常人間は不要な古い老廃物や水分は、
腎臓でろ過され尿として体外に放出されるよう出来ています。
すなわち、その古い老廃物や水分が体内に蓄積されてしまっている状態がむくみです。
こうなればなんとなく身体に悪そうだなと思う方も多いのではないのでしょうか。
ようするに老廃物や不要な水分が身体にたまってしまうと、
血液循環を妨げ、細胞の活性、新陳代謝も低下させてしまいます。
そうなってしまうと免疫力が低下し、
内臓疾患を誘引するもととなってしまうわけですね。
また女性の場合であればビジュアル的に腫れぼったく見えるので、
好まれるものではないでしょう。
むくみを取るための手法として様々なものが世の中で提言されているとは思いますが、
多少荒療治とはいえ、
南雲医師の仰る通り、むくみの原因となる飲み物をを断つというのは、
意外と有効な手段かもしれません。
