ガムやチョコの雄「ロッテ」の歴史
LOTTE（ロッテ）は1948年、
東京・杉並区に開業。
最初に作ったのはフーセンガム。
以来ガムを作り続けて66年。
今や約100種類のガムを販売。
更にガムだけでなく、
チョコを中心にお馴染みの商品が一杯ある。
そんなLOTTEの約240種類ある商品の中から、
最新売上げランキングベスト5を発表する。

発売30年のロングセラー
「コアラのマーチ」
LOTTE最新売上第5位は、
発売から30年の超ロングセラー、
あの動物が描かれたチョコスナックである、
「コアラのマーチ（105円）」。
定番はチョコレートとイチゴだが、
今では全国で地域限定バージョンがあったり、
今週には新しい味「ミックスフルーツ味」が発売されたり、
豊富なバリュエーションがある。
コアラのマーチが発売されたのは、
コアラが多摩動物公園に初来日した1984年。
当時の絵柄は12種類。
中でも「まゆげコアラ」は、
見つけたら幸せになれるという噂が広がり、
大ブームを呼んだ。
そして1996年には、
新しいコアラの絵柄を一般募集する、
キャンペーンを展開。
当時、
滝沢秀明と今井翼がCMに登場し話題を呼んだ。
このCMにも登場した、
12種類が新たに選ばれた。
更にどんどんコアラの絵柄は増え続け、
現在はなんと500種類。
絵柄が刻まれた大きなローラーによって、
ハイスピードでプリントされていく。
これを型抜きして焼き上げ、
チョコを入れたら、
お馴染みのコアラのマーチが完成する。
