《スクール革命！》記憶を定着させる効果的な過ごし方「勉強した後に寝ると記憶力向上」！就寝前の2時間が暗記に最適！？

今回のテーマは誰でも記憶力アップ&物忘れ防止術。
スタジオで講師を務めるのは、
東京理科大学教授の篠原菊紀先生、
慶応義塾大学卒業のオリエンタルラジオ中田敦彦先生。
2人の講師が知識を得た後（勉強した後）、
記憶を定着させる効果的な過ごし方について明かす。
それは、
「勉強した後に寝ると、記憶力が向上する（暗記しやすい）」
というものである。
篠原菊紀先生によると、
勉強等によって新しい知識を得た場合、
その上から、
脳に余計な知識を入れてしまうと邪魔しあってしまい、
記憶として残りにくい。
実験とかでも、
同じ眠りでもより深い睡眠をとる事が、
記憶定着（暗記）には効果が高いことが立証されているという。
つまり寝ずに勉強し続けるのは良くないことで、
例えば一夜漬けして、
学校に行くなんて最悪の行為であることが明かされた。
ちなみに深い眠りでなくとも、
1時間程度の昼寝であったり、
目を閉じてボーッとするだけでも記憶は定着することが明かされた。
更に就寝までの2時間は最も記憶しやすい時間帯であることも説明。
そして中田敦彦先生は、
夜9時に寝て朝3時に起きて勉強し、
学校に行っていたという睡眠サイクルと勉強サイクルを紹介した。
夜集中的にやるのと異なり、
段々と頭が冴えてくるので非常に効率的だったという。
また、今回のような勉強だけでなく、
スポーツなどの習い事の上達にも睡眠は効果的であることを、
篠原菊紀先生は説明した。

記憶に残りやすい勉強法と睡眠の関係については、

つまりは暗記する行為と睡眠の因果関係というのは、
非常に深いことが科学的には立証され、
かつ非常に有名であることがわかりますね。
確かに一夜漬けした勉強というのは、
定期テストなどは乗り越えられるかもしれませんが、
模擬試験なんかには全然反映されませんし、
こと受験ということに関しては最悪の勉強方法なのでしょう。
ちなみに、
中田敦彦さんの睡眠サイクルや、勉強サイクルって、
最近巷で話題の東進ハイスクールの林修先生とそっくりです。
過去に林修先生の睡眠サイクル・勉強サイクルについても、
以前に別の記事に記してあります。
こう見てみますと、
受験で成功した方々は朝型の方が非常に多いようですね。
仕事に関しても、
私個人の経験としては、
夜型の人間よりも朝型の人間の方が仕事が出来る、
真面目に働くといった印象がありますね。
勉強・仕事・スポーツなどに精を出したいという人は、
生活サイクルを見直し、
朝型に切り替えてみると良いかもしれませんね。
