世界一受けたい授業｜映画館の隠された工夫・秘密！スクリーンに小さな穴！床がじゅうたんである理由とは？

街で見つけたナゾ図鑑
生活を便利にする工夫を解明！
実はあまり知られていないが、
街中には我々が便利に暮らせるように、
見えない工夫が溢れている。
その秘密を楽しく教えてくれるのが、
東北芸術工科大学・教授である、
志村直愛先生。
前回は「ホテルで見つけたナゾ図鑑」の記事に掲載。
映画館で見つけたナゾ図鑑
スクリーンに見えない工夫
続いては映画館。
映画館のスクリーンにも、
目に見えない工夫が施されている。
スクリーンに近付いてよく見ると、
実はスクリーンには、
無数の小さな穴が開いている事が分かる。
この穴が開いている理由は、
迫力のある音を聴かせる為である。
スクリーンの後ろにも、
巨大なスピーカーが設置されているが、
スクリーンに開いている小さな穴のおかげで、
音がスムーズに観客席に伝わっている。
両脇のスピーカーだけでなく、
正面からも音が伝わっているのである。
だからこそ、
観客席に迫力のある音が聴こえる。
床のじゅうたんの驚きの工夫
ちなみに床がじゅうたんに、
なっているのにも理由がある。
上映中についうっかり物を落としても、
音を吸収し、
映画の邪魔をしない為に、
床にはじゅうたんが採用されている。

映画館の迫力のある秘密は、
音響だけでなく、
スクリーンにもあったのですね。
ちなみに、
映画館と言えばお馴染みのポップコーン。
こちらも、
上述の理由と似ていて、
食べた時の音がなりにくいという理由で、
多くの映画館で販売されているようですよ。
