ジョブチューン｜北海道日本ハムファイターズ・中田翔は英語・勉強が超苦手

今回は超一流アスリート、
ぶっちゃけランキングスペシャル。
超一流アスリートが、
職業の秘密をぶっちゃける。
北海道日本ハムファイターズ・中田翔は
英語・勉強が超苦手
侍JAPANの若き4番打者、
プロ野球選手・中田翔。
高校時代3年間で87本のホームランを放ち、
当時の歴代最多記録を更新。
2008年にドラフト1位で、
北海道日本ハムファイターズに入団。
2012年にはシーズン開幕から、
4番打者に抜擢され、
ホームランを量産。
チームをリーグ優勝に導いた。
2013年には23歳の若さで日本代表に選出され、
4番打者を務めた。
そんな中田翔は入団当初、
英語で書かれた日本ハムファイターズの、
「FIGHTERS」の文字が読めなかった事をぶっちゃけた。
中田翔は英語だけでなく、
勉強自体が苦手で、
チーム名が全く読めていなかったという。
その中で漢字が超苦手で、
北海道はなんとか書けるようになったが、
一般紙のような難しい活字は、
読む事が出来ない事を明かした。
勉強している時間があるなら、
少しでも練習をした方が良いと、
思ってしまうタイプである事を明かした。
更に球団名にも疎く、
日本ハムファイターズに入団する際も、
日本ハムは知っていたが、
何の球団で、
どこの球団なのか知らなず、
初めて名前を聞いた時も、
「どこやねん！」と思った事を明かした。
テレビでプロ野球中継を全く見ず、
選手や監督の名前すらも知らなかった事を明かした。
中田翔によると、
自分がやるのは大好きだが、
野球観戦は退屈過ぎるので、
好きではないという。
入団当初プロを舐めていたが
現実は二軍スタート
中田翔はプロ野球に入る前、
プロを舐めていたが、
実際に入団し現実の厳しさを知った事を明かした。
自身の技術が全然プロレベルでない事を、
痛感したという。
一軍は北海道・札幌で練習を行うが、
二軍は千葉・鎌ヶ谷で練習を行う。
初めて中田翔が鎌ヶ谷を訪れた際に、
北海道の地理ですらよく分からないのに、
更に分からない所に行かされ、
自身が騙されてると感じた事を明かした。
また二軍時代1年目は、
大金が入ってくる上に、
高校時代がストイックだった為、
かなり遊び呆けていた事を明かした。
遅刻も多くして素行が悪く、
遅刻1回30万円の罰金も支払っていたという。

清々しい程のスポーツ馬鹿ですね。
これだけストイックに、
野球に打ち込んだ成果が、
日本代表の4番打者を、
担う事に繋がったのかもしれませんね。
