今年（2013年）注目したニュースは何か、
1万人にアンケートを実施。
日本人が注目した今年（2013年）のニュースTOP20を発表し、
池上彰が解説を行う。
第2位 東北楽天日本一 マー君メジャー？
第2位は東北楽天ゴールデンイーグルスが、
11月3日に日本一になったニュースと、
田中将大投手のメジャー挑戦のニュース。
2013年のプロ野球の話題をほぼ独占した、
東北楽天ゴールデンイーグルス。
星野仙一監督のもと、
復興に頑張る東北の為にと、
チーム一丸となり、
見事球団創設して9年で初の日本一を獲得。
その立役者が、
このシーズンオフにメジャーリーグへの移籍が噂される、
マー君こと田中将大である。
今シーズンは開幕から順調に勝ち星を積み重ね、
結局今シーズンは負け知らずの、
24勝1セーブの成績を残し、
ギネス記録にまで登録された。
メジャーリーグの全30球団が注目していると、
噂される中、
新ポスティング制度が日米で正式合意された。
それを受けて田中将大は、
来シーズン、
メジャーリーグ移籍希望を表明した。
しかし球団側は新制度の利用を保留。
プロ野球の新制度って何？
そもそもポスティング制度とは、
どういうものかと言えば、
アメリカのメジャー球団が、
日本の球団側に金額を提示し、
選手を譲ってくれるように交渉するもの。
このお金は選手にいくわけではなく、
球団にいくのである。
そしてこの金額はオークション形式で、
どんどん値上がる為、
青天井でどこまでいくか分からなかった。
そこで新しいポスティング制度が誕生。
新しいポスティング制度は、
譲渡金の上限額は2000万ドル（約20億円）と決められた。
上限額が設定された事で、
これまではお金持ち球団しか交渉が出来なかったが、
今後は様々な球団が交渉を行える様になったのである。
更にこれまでは最高額を提示した1球団としか、
日本の選手は交渉が出来なかったが、
今後選手は複数のメジャー球団と交渉可能になる。
但し、球団側としてみれば、
希少な戦力を今までより、
はるかに安い金額で譲渡しなければいけなくなり、
お金も入ってこなければ、
大幅な戦力ダウンにも繋がる。
かと言って選手の移籍を認めなければ、
世論の反発も予想される為、
非常に悩ましい問題なのである。
楽天球団の田中将大メジャー移籍の選択肢
そうなると楽天球団としてはいくつかの選択肢がある。
1つ目は、
田中将大投手の移籍を認め約20億円を得るという選択。
2つ目は、
田中将大投手にはあと1年待ってもらい、
新ポスティング制度を利用してもらう選択。
3つ目は、
田中将大投手の契約が切れる2年後まで引き留める選択である。
レビュー
今回の放送で私は初めて、
新ポスティング制度の仕組みを詳しく理解しました。
選手側、メジャー球団側にとってはメリットのある制度ですが、
日本の球団側にとってはデメリットしかない制度ですね。
ただでさえ、
球団経営は黒字化するのが大変と聞きますので、
今後より一層シビアな舵取りを球団側は求められる事になりますね。
