《リアルスコープ》地下鉄車両の輸送プロジェクトに密着！総移動距離300キロにも及ぶ輸送方法とは？

今回はJR、東京メトロ全面協力、
新幹線＆地下鉄の裏側スペシャル。
地下鉄大輸送プロジェクトに密着！
今回、愛知県・豊川市の日本車両豊川製作所から
東京にある中野車両基地まで、
全4日間、総移動距離300キロにも及ぶ、
地下鉄車両の大輸送プロジェクトに密着する。
番組は日本車輌製造豊川製作所を訪れた。
この会社は海外を含めた数々の鉄道車両を手掛けた、
電車作りの名門会社である。
そして今回ターゲットとなるのが、
地下鉄銀座線の新型車両「1000系」である。
ちなみに「1000系」の車両の黄色はペイント（塗装）でなく、
鉄道業界初のラッピングで行われた。
予め用意されたシートを、
塗装の替わりに貼っていく方法である。
こうして完成した車両を、
愛知の工場から、東京まで、
どのように運ぶかというと、
ディーゼル機関車や電気機関車で牽引する。
午前に出発した新型車両は、
愛知県・豊川市から、
その日の夜に1日目にして東京近郊貨物駅に到着した。
そしてここからは、
特殊車両運搬チームが地下鉄を運ぶ。
ここからはトレーラー輸送する。
輸送する際は、
先々導車、先導車、トレーラー、後導車と、
4台でトレーラーを守るように隊列を組む。
先導車はトレーラーが通る前に危険がないかナビを、
後導車はトレーラーの後ろから来る一般車両が、
トレーラーの邪魔にならないように守る役割がある。
東京近郊貨物から、
中野車両基地まで、
1日2両ずつ、
計6両を3日間かけて一般道で運んでいくという。
全長16mもある車両を一般道で運ぶのは、
相当な難所があるが、
一般車両に迷惑がかからないよう、
車の量が少ない深夜に運んでいってしまう。
《もうちょっと調べてみた&所感》
列車車両の運搬作業を、
ご覧になった人は稀かもしれませんが、
それもそのはず、
深夜に作業を行っていれば、
その場に出くわす可能性は低くもなりますね。
ちなみに車両を、
どのように地下鉄の線路にのせるのかと言えば、
その方法というのは実にシンプルで、
実は車庫がある駅というのは、
大抵が地下鉄でありながら、
駅のホームが地上にあるものなのです。
要するにホームが地上にあるので、
線路にのせる際には、
一般的な地上を走る電車と方法はあまり変わらないのです。
