《健康ジョーシキ》動脈硬化のコブは小さい方が傷つき易く危険！血圧が高ければ高い程コブは傷つき易く危険！

というアンケートをとったところ、
第1位は「血圧」である。
この血圧に関して、
池谷医院院長の池谷敏郎医師が新常識を唱える。
池谷敏郎医師は、
動脈に出来た血管を25%ふさぐ小さなコブと、
血管を90%ふさぐ大きなコブ、
どちらが危険であるかを質問。
通常であれば90%の大きなコブの方が危険と考えるが、
実は小さなコブの方が危険であるという。
池谷敏郎医師は
「血管内のコブは小さい方が危険」という新常識を紹介。
どうして血管に動脈硬化になる小さなコブが出来るのかという、
理由からまずは説明。
血管は内膜・中膜・外膜の3層構造になっている。
日常生活のストレスから、
血管の内側の内膜に傷がつき、
血管を流れるコレステロールが、
内幕の傷ついた場所から血管に流れ込んでいき、
それが元になって、
油を含んだ動脈硬化のコブが出来上がる。
この時、雪を連想すると分かりやすいが、
積もりたての小さな雪と、
積もりに積った大きな雪、
どちらが脆いかといえば小さい方であり、
血管内の小さいコブの方が傷つき易く、
脆く危険であるという。
またこのコブは血圧が高ければ高いほど、
コブが傷つきやすく危険である。
血管が傷つけば当然血が固まるが、
血管の中は逃げ道がないので、
固まった塊がどんどん膨れ上がり、
いずれ血管を塞いでしまい（血栓が出来）脳梗塞や心筋梗塞を引き起こす。
ちなみに、
近年血管内の動脈硬化のコブは表面を固めて、
傷がつきにくい状態にすることが出来ることが、
近年の研究で明らかになった。
生活習慣病の要因となるストレスを、
回避することで、
この動脈硬化のコブが壊れにくい状態に持っていくことが出来るという。

コブの大小に関わらず、
生活習慣を見直すことが、
血管内の動脈硬化のコブを傷つけず、
脳梗塞・心筋梗塞を予防することになるのですね。
生活習慣というと、

規則正しくバランスの良い食事をし、
適度な運動を行い、
早寝早起きを心がけ十分な睡眠を確保する。

これらのことを意識的に行わなければならないということですね。
とはいえ、
人それぞれ環境は異なるわけですから、
全てを健康的に改善するのは不可能に近いでしょう。
全てと言わず、
欲張らずに、
出来る所からコツコツと進めていけば良いのではないのでしょうか。
